Ingredients
- 400g unsalted raw mixed nuts
- 2 tbsp tamari sauce
- 2 tsp sesame seeds
- pinch of five spice powder
Method
- Preheat oven to 170°C.
- Place the nuts in a large bowl and toss with the tamari, sesame seeds and five spice powder, ensuring the nuts are coated well.
- Transfer the nut mixture to a baking tray lined with non-stick baking paper and spread out evenly.
- Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely (this will also allow the nuts to crisp up further).
Tips
Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Tamari is similar in flavour to soy sauce and is available in supermarkets or Asian grocers. Reduced salt soy sauce may be substituted.
